A Moving Experience

They were just two boxes. Nondescript. With the name even spelled wrong on one of them. Yet these two boxes carry more than just their 242 pounds of characterless contents... they carry the weight of the world. They are filled with memories. With meaning. With our heavy hearts.

The reality of these boxes being sent on to their next locale means that our last few days of being together as a family are coming to an end. A reality that just seemed to sneak up on us.

Oh honey... I am so, so sorry. I know you've seen it coming for a while, but that doesn't make it any easier. Be strong, and know that there are a lot of people who love you and who want to help you through this.

Ugh. I'm sure all your hearts are heavy right now. Thinking of you!

Oh hon, I'm so sorry. Tears in my eyes. Sending you strength. I know it'll be so tough, but you'll make it. Big hugs!

Sad. Enjoy your next few days. I hope time just flies by until that next r&r.

I can only imagine how tough it must be. For everyone.
As the mom, I am sure that everyone is going to be looking to you for strength. From what I know about you, it will be a flawless transition.
Good luck. My thoughts are with you and your family.

I can't even imagine how hard it will be. I really really want to say something profound that will make it easier. Of course I can't. Hang in there. Prayers and good thought coming your way.

Aw J ... I too wish there was something brilliant to say that made you smile and ease the ache ...

Since I don't have the smallest or the biggest of words, just know that we're all thinking of you ... and all hoping that the days in between are filled with quickly moving hands on the clock and lots of great memories to fill Matt in via Skype (you can Skype, right?)

Looks like you have a great blog family with big shoulders. Hang in there, you have great kids that I'm sure will ease the burden a little bit for you!

Hey Jen. I was just checking out your blog the other day and mentioned it to my husband. He said, "Pearlman? He is going to be my (sorry, don't remember the exact acronym) new ABC. He seems cool."

I guess that means that we are in the same boat. My husband left on June 25th and I wish I could tell you it isn't that bad, but I'd be lying. :(

Feel free to contact to me anytime and thanks for blogging and entertaining me with your realities. :)

I've been thinking of you so much. There aren't really words. I just hope it helps a bit to feel all the support of people out there that care about you. There are lots of shoulders to lean on for the next year, but of course that only helps so much. One step, one hour, even one moment at a time.
