My Parents Came to Chennai And All They Brought Us Was ...

... 145 pounds of food and wine!

Seriously!

When my in-laws left in September, they brought back two soft-sided coolers that they sent to my parents for their upcoming visit. They used every inch of them - and more! My freezer is now jam packed with ... a pound of lox, 4 dozen bagels and 10 pounds of cream cheese, Hebrew National salami, steaks, 3 rack of lamb, 3 Butterball turkey breasts, deli meat galore, Starbucks coffee, caramel sauce, and another 10 pounds of bacon.

We'll be eating well for quite awhile...

Wow, I am seriously coveting your freezer right now. Lox and cream cheese on a bagel would go a long way towards improving my foul mood...

That's totally awesome! So happy for you and your family! I just bought bagels and cream cheese today for the first time in ages - and discovered my daughter loves the combination just as much as I do!

Happy Feasting!!!

Yay! What awesome parents! I hope we have similar experiences at post to brighten up our moods and bring home a little closer.

BTW - can you tell me hwo to do the photos side by side? I have an idea and I'll try it, but I don't know if it's going to work.

I'll pass on the cream cheese and the bagels, but will be down shortly for the wine.

NICE!

How big are those coolers anyway?

That is soooo cool that they brought you all of that! How difficult is that to transport on the plane? Is that a small fortune to pay in additional baggage fees?

How sad is it that I'm coveting your 10 lbs of bacon?

Yay for visiting parents! When my parents came to visit us in Barcelona for New Years, they came with 5 pieces of luggage. When they returned to the US, everything could have fit in 1 suitcase! I think I will have to make them bring a soft-sided cooler next time! Any problems with security/customs bringing in food?
