India's Many Modes Of Transportation

The Auto Rickshaw ........ Bicycles & Motorcycles

Fishing Boats at the Beach ...... A Family of Four (the woman is actually holding a child in her lap, though I didn't have a good angle for the photo)

India's version of the zero emission vehicle ... (almost).
I cracked up when the man got off and actually "parked" it by tying it up to the tree.

Anyone standing behind that animal will tell you that he is hardly a zero emission vehicle. LOL! Great photos!

I'm 'in town' and have about 10 minutes online, so I just had to check in with you...I love the pictures--keep 'em coming (it might just be the closest I get to actually seeing India!)

Everything looks better on my Mac BTW--I love it! Hope you're enjoying yours too (maybe we can trade tips when I get back from vacay?) :)

Now what would you do if you actually had a child and a carseat...?? Just put them in your lap?!

At least the Dad was taking care of himself by wearing a helmet. Now that's looking out for the family!

My son got his driver's license today. Thank GOD he's not driving in India (though it feels like it to me sometimes...haha)

I just found your blog via Debbie's Blog around the World. I have always had this fascination with India. But the more I read about it...the more I wonder why...but it just gets me more and more interested :-)

I actually just finished reading "Holy Cow" about an Australian woman who moved to India with her boyfriend who was a reporter for an Australian tv station. Very interesting...especially about the driving there!

And because I had to go back and read, it appears that you are just arriving in India. Unless I am wrong. Which is known to happen from time to time (ie, often). But I am going to have my Indian adventure vicariously...

A W E S O M E photos! I have to go get caught up on what you have been doing!

I love how the family on the motorcycle only has 1 helmet... on the MAN. Heaven forbid you save the wife and kids' lives, too!

I think I'd stick with the rickshaw.

Great photos!

Incredible pictures. The one of the boats is my favorite. I have a similar shot of a beach in Bali. Beautiful! Glad your driver is back for another week.

Cool post! I love the pic of the girls and the one at the beach is cool. I have no words for the last pic, that's just crazy. Poor animal! How funny that he tied him to the tree...what's that gonna do? lol...

I am digging the auto rickshaw. I think that would work in Chicago. What is that...a yak?
