... that make it all worth living in the States.
We took the kids and their cousins to the pumpkin patch this past weekend. A first for everyone. It was hot. Way too hot to be traipsing around on the first weekend in October.
But it was worth it to see the dirty smiles on everyone's sweaty faces. Wasn't it?

What fun! We haven't seen a pumpkin patch in ages. I've got some cute photos of my son at 2yo in a pumpkin patch, but neither kid would actually remember. :)
So cute! And what an enormous pumpkin patch! Love all the photos and love that your kids are near to the cousins, for a while at least!
It does look like a lot of fun. I love the pumpkin patch. I'm excited to go, we're aiming for two weeks.
Those are great pictures. Do the kids get along well with their cousins? That's something my kids have never had, although Matt & Lily are more like cousins than niece and nephew for sure.
Darling little Grady is getting SO BIG!!!!
In that last picture of him - the one with no pumpkin, standing by the corn - he looks JUST like Matt!!
How much he's grown, just from the last time you posted pictures of them! The girls have changed a bit, too, but of course the change is a bit less pronounced than with a toddler.
LOVE his little ringlets! Oh, I miss those days....
I have to agree with Kolbi, the kids have grown so much, and yes, especially Grady! Everyone looks so excited and happy!
I remember a while back you blogged about your kids having this nebulous idea about being American and what living in the US is like. Well, now they will have a couple of years to experience it all. How cool is that!!!
I love pix of kids and pumpkins. There is something about it that is just fun.
Aww, so totally worth it - these pictures are priceless and oh, so cute! :) I love pictures at the pumpkin patch! Always fun!
Your post could not have been more perfectly timed. We're having *that* conversation for the umpteenth time. You know, rhymes with spend-a-year-alone-while-I-go-work-in-the-desert...? That one.
I was dead set against it...until I saw your pictures of a real life American pumpkin patch with ORANGE pumpkins. Now I might only be 80% against it.
Glad you had fun! Happy carving!
