Not Wanting To Be Outdone By Her Sister...

... today Riley started Girl Scouts as well. Brownies if you will.

But don't think I got a picture of her grinning and smiling like her sister. No WAY! See, Riley was surrounded by her friends. Who were all staring at her. And her geeky mom who was gushing and making her stand and smile at the iPhone camera were far too much for any seven year old to handle. Especially since she couldn't pose in her not-quite-purchased Brownie vest and beanie yet ...

So as of today, I have two VERY excited Girl Scouts. One of whom will be begging all of you to buy Girl Scout cookies from her in the spring. And yes, I will be asking. Because I'm annoying like that. Just ask my daughter.

Laura starts Girl Scouts next week. She seems most excited for the camping trip. (Another mom who's also a leader was, too, until she found out they sleep ON THE GROUND. Some of us have our standards.)

Can you ship cookies to Malawi? I will totally buy bunches if you can ship!

Yay! Just don't volunteer to be cookie mom. :)

How cool! Having grown up in another country, I really don't know what scouting is but I am thinking Nia may enjoy it too.

I do know what girl scout cookies are, though (love the Samoas!), so if you ship to VA, I will order some.

My daughter was in Girl Scouts before her troop dissolved last spring. I was so sad!

Now, I have a Cub Scout (and we're selling popcorn AND wreaths right now). One way or another, I'm going to make sure he gets all the way through Scouts even if I have to drag him off to a different pack!

If you can ship to Jersey, count me in for like ten boxes! :)

I love Girl Scouts, but I try to avoid them like the plague come cookie time after last winter's 15 pounds of Thin Mints went directly to my booty.

I can relate - I was not a fan of public displays when I was little...I'm only moderately better about it now.
