I'm finally sewing again. I have inspiration. I have the materials. I have the time.
I deconstructed my sewing room when my parents came for their visit in late December, and never put it back together after they left. Until last week.
I made this dress as a birthday gift for my girlfriend's daughter. It's a favorite design of my girls ... I've made them each one of their own.
Of course, now that they've seen this, they both want another one... in blue. I think I can oblige.

That is SO cute - lucky girls!
Adorable- where did you get the fabric?
I really like that!!
Love!
Do you have the pattern? Would love to make some for Mia!
That's adorable. I'd love to make it for Julianna also. Please share the pattern name/number. Thanks.
Great job.
I agree, it is so cute! Do you have a pattern number? I would like to make it as well.
LOL! I have a few feet of the same striped fabric waiting for its transformation... got it in the Nahalat Benjamin....
So cute! Right up there with photoshop...I wish I knew how to sew!
Can I place an order? Or two?
OMG Jill... you are so talented! I wish I could sew like that. My girls would have a field day picking out material.
Awesome!
Gorgeous, you are so talented!
A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E.!!! You've got some talent- jealous!
I didn't know you could sew! I love you even more now. I looooove fabric, but sadly, cannot sew at all.
So cute.
Darling!!!!!
Those are so beautiful - the colors are just gorgeous!
At some point, I'd love for you to include in a future sewing post what kind of sewing machine you are using and whether or not you are happy with it. You seem to be able to work on a lot of different projects with it. It must be really versatile!
I used to quilt and have considered getting back into sewing and I always keep an ear to the ground to hear what machines people swear by and are trouble-free. (I've heard Bernina and I've heard Pfaff so far.)
Fiona will take one in pink, and one in blue! (hehehe) I really need to learn to sew!!!
