i'm a freak about that. i always tell the girlies that i will be so pissed if i have to push them around in a wheelchair for the rest of their lives because they didn't wear a helmet.
too much? perhaps. but i always hear lill yell to grae "you will NOT look cute in a wheelchair, grae! put on your helmet!"
YAY!!!!!!! Tell her to enjoy her new fou nd freedom, FUN!!!
I had three in training wheels until this spring. We went to a friend's house and her kids (that are the same age) were riding their bikes like mad without training wheels. Next thing I know my kids are trying it with their bikes and loving it. By the end of the week all three had mastered it.
Honestly I was concerned to let them do it. I guess I was projecting my fear of them getting hurt on them. They love it, we are hoepful there is a place that is safe in Kuwait for them to ride. Possibly the Embassy compound we have heard. They would really miss it if there isn't a place to ride. Blessings to you guys~
For her last birthday, we told Michaela we'd buy her a new bike. One that is bigger and not as "baby-ish" (in other words, one that is not Dora the Explorer). So off to the toy store we go to pick out her new bike... but she doesn't want one that came withOUT training wheels. We told her she wasn't getting a new bike WITH training wheels... it was time she learned to ride without them.
Her bday was in FEBRUARY. She STILL has not learned to ride without training wheels.

OH I'm so jealous! Julianna's our last to have to cross that barrier, and sometimes I feel like it's never going to happen.
Congrats to her--and to you and Matt--that's great.
"Mom this is freaking me out!" Hahaha, I laughed so hard.
Way to go!!!!

Hooray! All it takes is a little confidence. She looks so cute.
Hurray! What a champ! Love the Rocky theme song, and love the "mom, this is freaking me out" even more.
PS Is that all your driveway? Wow!
Helmets would make it safer yeah. But I'm thinking where in India can we possibly buy helmets for kids that young? Hmmm...
Any bright ideas?
that is so cool! She needs to convince Hayden to do that too.
Awesome!!!
I giggled the whole way through "watch out! watch out!" LOL but wow look at what a difference 5 min made! WTG Riley!
