He looks so proud to be wearing his big boy underwear and he is so smart to come up with a way that works for him.

After years of cleaning up after all of my boys, I instituted the rule that all males will sit when using the bathroom at my house. I am so thankful that the days of pee splattered walls are behind us. :)Betsyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08002459939261404036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3248196462677139259.post-36768647737410639662012-07-11T12:44:35.678-06:002012-07-11T12:44:35.678-06:00This is way way TMI but your blog doesn't seem...This is way way TMI but your blog doesn't seem to mind so away I go: DON'T DO IT. Boys standing up to pee is terrible. Even if they aim correctly (which they rarely do) they splash and that splash is urine filled an your bathroom will continually smell like a men's restroom. With Tiger he sits and I plan on it remaining so as long as he lives at home, of course when we go out he can stand but I just don't want to deal with the stink and I don't see how sitting demasculates, although that is the only good argument for standing I have heard. Congrats Grady!Sunnyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04837319071695368552noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3248196462677139259.post-41481715474953256602012-07-11T12:17:56.896-06:002012-07-11T12:17:56.896-06:00Yay! One of the best milestones for sure! :)
We always used a bit of waded up toilet paper to tuck the wiener in so that they weren't peeing all over. However, the usually preferred to stand and pee. I've heard that throwing a "target" into the toilet can help get boys excited about standing and peeing. Like a few Cheerios or something? Try that (if you haven't already). :)
Congratulations!!!Kathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14339665205284492242noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3248196462677139259.post-61828616993486907132012-07-11T10:29:25.681-06:002012-07-11T10:29:25.681-06:00Yahoo for your big boy and his Momma! I'm also very impressed that just over three you managed to potty train him. :)

You need to find a six or seven year old boy and borrow him for a week. Big boys always stand to pee. Little boys tend to want to follow suit. ha. Then again...Harrison gets distracted easily and still pees everywhere at times. So really, no way is perfect.Issahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11309906249557761472noreply@blogger.com
